NZSki, the company that owns and operates Mt Hutt, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables, employs about 1,100 seasonal staff every year that, along with our core full-time staff, undertakes a wide variety of fulfilling and adventurous ski jobs.

No two days will be the same, we are looking for exceptional people who are willing to go the extra mile by assisting our guests or helping out another department, you can't be afraid to roll your sleeves up.

About the role
  • Providing a fun and safe learning environment for our guests to achieve their goals 
  • Teach both kids & adults from beginners to your ability / certification level 
  • You will be teaching a variety of lessons with consistent application of NZSIA technique & methodology. 
  • Meeting & greeting our guests and whenever possible providing assistance to make their day on our mountains exceptional 
  • Helping out in other departments when and as required. This can include snow shovelling, setting up lesson meeting areas, clearing tables in the café or helping out the rentals department
About You
  • Passionate about Snowsports and to see our guests having an awesome experience 
  • Adaptable to the environment and committed to developing return business 
  • Proactive and comfortable stepping in and helping each other 
  • Committed to learning and self development 
  • Understand that employment is subject to the vagaries of the weather and business levels and the hours of work cannot be guaranteed
Skills and Qualifications
  • A member of a national instructor organisation (NZSIA, PSIA, BASI etc) with a current valid membership 
  • New Zealand and Australian applicants require a minimum of NZSIA Level One or equivalent to be considered for employment. (If you are uncertified, please have a look at our Rookie program) 
  • Previous teaching experience is required 
  • Children's certification or experience coaching kids is an advantage 
  • Foreign languages such as French, Spanish, Japanese or Chinese are also an advantage 
  • Ability to teach another discipline is also an advantage

Once on board you will participate in a Company Induction and Snowsports specific training. You also have access to ongoing training throughout the season. 

All successful applicants will be required to be vetted by the NZ Police.
