Good skiing comes through diligence. In order to be able to offer the best advice on how to stand safety on two boards, our instructors regularly attend advanced training courses.

In addition to first class qualifications, our instructors are additionally required to complete two training sessions per week in order to further perfect their skills. This allows us to offer you the highest level of service, whether you are a beginner or expert.

Our instruction methods are supported by modern teaching aids such as video analysis

Joe and Christian, our two managers, are the big cheese at Bögei.
And with their passion and experience it’s no wonder they have made it to the top.

Before founding Bögei Ski School in 1991, the two certified ski instructors spent many years at the renowned Austrian Alpine Ski Academy, Bundessportheim, in St Christoph am Arlberg.

Since completing the ÖSV (Austrian Ski Federation) instructor’s course, the two have become ambassadors for the Austrian ski school, travelling to countries as far away as Spain, Japan, Canada and New Zealand, to share their knowledge.

Their know-how and curiosity has always driven them to research new techniques, thus ensuring Bögei always stays one step ahead of its rivals.

Best by far!!

I Worked at Bögei Skischule during the season 14/15 and loved every minute of it.
After working at a few diffrent ski schools in Austria over the past 4 years I discovered Skischule Bögei which was perfect for me.
It's so well organised, the colleages/staff are very welcoming and friendly and has an overall great atmosphere!

Filzmoos is a great little ski resort, perfect for family's and children.
The ski school itself has a great learning area (one of the best ive worked at by far) that has 2 conveyor belt lifts for beginners, children and adults along with its own button lift all run and by the ski school. Also has many things set up such as a slalom run and a through the trees run (perfect for little ones)!

You are provided with a Ski school uniform (blue jacket & red pants) and a first aid pack. The uniforms are nice and warm and the colours look great together!

There is at least 2x instuctor training during the week working on everything possible, from beginners to race carving, first aid, language lessons and many more workshops.
Ive never worked at a ski school with such a great amount of training given, it's brilliant to always be learning new things or improving on things you already know.

The wages are good, you get payed just above the avarage. It is slightly more than in other ski schools I have previously worked at.
The working hours are perfect, beggining at 9am with the daily ski school meeting at which the boss runs though all information needed to prepair eveyone for the day.
Normally the teaching hours are 4 hours a day but also possible to be filled up to 6 hours a day with private lessons.

Ive made friends for life and without a dout will be returning for a second full season next winter.

Austria's top Skischool

I've been working here in the "Skischule Bögei" for the past 4 years now, it's an amazing skischool putting an enormous amount of effort in everything they do. I'm the snowboard instructor but qualified on skis as well so I'm helping out on the ski side of things as well if needed.

Our instructors are quite international, but all from Europe. All from different countries with different backgrounds, gives our team a mixture of personalities. Although we've got two other skischools in our town, almost all the locals are working for us. Gives you enough friendly local people to hang out with. Our core team is around 20 people, and in the busiest weeks of the season we've got around 50 members wearing the same uniform.

Filzmoos is a small resort, mainly visited by families. Therefore the majority of our guests in the skischool are beginners or intermediates, not a lot of high-end lessons going out. Not just because of the people visiting, but also because for an expert skier or snowboarders there not enough challenging runs. Unfortunately no park, a bit backcountry riding is possible, but almost only if you're willing to hike. Because it's a family resort it's not the place to be if your own goal is to get wasted every night. Party is always happening, but you need to know when and where to go.

The skischool has a massive learner area with all possible options to learn and entertain both kids and adults. Two private conveyor belts (magic carpets) and a button lift owned and operated by the skischool. All with loads of toys and tools to learn and to entertain, from ropes and magic sticks to a carousel and slalom tracks.

Housing: Pretty good, everyone lives on walking distance from the skischool and everything else you need in town. Most of us do have a private bedroom, and shared kitchen and bathroom. Otherwise usually not more than 2 people in a room. All paying 7 euro a night.

Clothing: Proper pants and proper jacket, nothing fancy but just good. All provided with a first aid kit.

Training: At least two instructor trainings from our head of the skischool, going through everything from teaching beginners to race carving and high end riding. First aid usually every two weeks and workshops covering all kinds of subjects around 5-6 times throughout the season.

Payment: Just above average comparing to most skischools in the same area. But, a guaranteed amount of 35 hours a week, from Sunday to Friday, Saturdays off. If there's no teaching work, they provide you with something else and extra hours are payed extra.

Work hours: Guaranteed 35 hours a week, starting at 9 o'clock in the morning with our every day meeting. Teaching is 4 hours a day, sometimes filled up to 6 with private lessons. (Early bird and lunch time.) At 4pm the apres ski starts, just across the road.

Extra services: There's always someone be able, and willing, to help out with all you need apart from your daily skischool life!
